But where do you start?įor someone who is just starting out, with so much great content and competition among players, it can be difficult to understand how the game works, or even what to do first. You can choose your favorite faction, build up your city, upgrade powerful heroes, and engage in fascinating PvE or PvP battles. And in all fairness, let's assume a "best of 5 games" scenario with rotating maps just in case any of that makes a difference.Nations of Darkness offers an engaging and immersive strategy game experience and a lot of interesting content. Of course, both players are highly skilled and have good micro. This will ensure each side is firmly into the late game and has had time to build its best units.įor this thought experiment, please assume each team has chosen the "war doctrine" or "battlegroup" that best supports a late-game oriented strategy. To differentiate this from a normal 1v1, let's assume there is a 30 minute truce, so that each team can tech and build up resources to make it into late game without harassment from the opposing team. Also, I believe their veterancy options are more impactful in a late-game scenario. They also have perfectly fine anti-armor options in the late game (and lets face it, you WILL see armor coming from DAK in the late-game) without giving up armor themselves. I believe Wehrmacht edge out DAK because, in my opinion, the Wehrmacht have better late-game infantry to support their tanks. Finally, they have some powerful off-site artillery options that can soften up fortified positions and force a blob of units to move. If one of their light tanks blows up, all their armor gets a boost in power. Also, DAK has a natural combined-arms boost for its infantry. He believes the DAK is the ultimate late game faction, because of their ability to straight-up build the "best" or at least near-best tanks, without relying on call-ins.
